ABOUT US
Sandy Hook Seafood is an ode to the dreamers.
It's a collection of the romantics who showed up to class, a few minutes late, salt crusted and sunburned, smelling like surf wax — or maybe it was diesel — and a hint of the sea.

Frankly, Sandy Hook Seafood is what happens when decades of experience in kitchens, on fishing boats and in the water meets a global pandemic and we collectively realize something needs to change. Someone needs to start doing things differently so our kids can experience seafood in the ways we know it can, and should, be experienced.
So, we did something. We put together a few lobster pots, and they sold. Then we put together a few more…
Those take-home lobster pots were our beginning—but they are not where the story ends.
They helped lay the groundwork for a chef-inspired seafood market where we can educate our customers and staff through the food we serve. Crafting meals that minimize environmental impact, eliminate unnecessary waste, and elevate cultural insight by explaining where the food is coming from, what it ate and how it was caught. All so everyone can pick up a dinner they’re proud to put on their families plates.
It’s something different, but really, it’s something that needed to be done.
This is a product of the restless.
The result of missed classes, long nights, and curiosity.
Our attempt to better the planet through food.
This is Sandy Hook Seafood.
